Man, oh man, oh man… how things change.
My initial concept for the dresser has changed. Kind of a bit a lot. If that makes sense.
- Took the giant bird off the front and replaced it with a distant flying flock of feathered friends (sorry… I know I could have said birds, but once alliteration starts you really have to follow thru.)
- Abandoned the Emerald and Greyed Jade in favour of following my “BlackGold” theme. I think having collections is a better idea au moment.
- I had initially intended to have the interiors of the drawers printed, but since I’m going with the black and gold flavour, I will now just cover the interiors with matte black and and have the feathers cut from a brushed gold on top (laminated for good measure so that the feathers wont lift during the course of regular use).
- Front pulls have been eliminated. Again, this might change as soon as actual construction begins.
I’ll catch you up in the next and final (?) installment of the Life and Times of a MALM Dresser.
